It's goodbye from us for now. Southampton were out to put an end to their losing streak and technically they have done this, adding a point to their standings. They are currently sitting on 11th place on the EPL table and will have a tough game up against Chelsea, who are coming off a loss, after having a five game winning streak.
Leeds kick off in the middle, to get us back under way in the second half. HALF TIME: LEEDS UNITED 1 SOUTHAMPTON 0 - We go into the half time break with Leeds holding a 1-0 lead over Southampton. It was a fiercely fought first half with Leeds dictating terms of play in the first 30 minutes, with Harrison finding the back of the net at the 29th minute. Southampton were able to respond in the last 15 minutes of the half with a few near misses on goal of their own, but unable to beat Meslier at this stage of proceedings. Should the current pace of the game remain in the second half we are set for an exciting conclusion to the game.
The referee awards the resulting yellow card to Ayling. 57' Diallo with a cheeky long range shot on goal from outside of the box, but it goes staight into the waiting arms of Meslier. A chance gone begging for Southampton. 55' Rodrigo calls the ball back as he spots Raphinha inside the box who takes a shot on goal from front and centre but it is blasted over the crossbar for a goal kick. 53' Raphinha looks for the centreing pass inside the box, but the Southampton defenders are able to intercept the ball and clear it away to safety.
Leeds will continue to keep the wolf off their backs as they are eight points clear of the relegation zone. Next week they will have a chance to extend this, coming up against Watford, who are sitting in 18th position as we speak. FULL TIME: LEEDS UNITED 1 SOUTHAMPTON 1 - The full time whistle sounds and we have no late goal twist from either team, having to settle for a 1-1 draw. Leeds started the second half with the 1-0 advantage, but a super free kick from Ward-Prowse was able to level the scores in the 49th minute. Both teams had their opportunities on goal in the second half, but neither were able to give their team the advantage. Gelhardt was very prominent for Leeds when he entered the game, having support from Raphinha.
90' SUBSTITUTION SOUTHAMPTON - An attacking change for Southampton, who are out to end a three game losing streak, with Broja being exchanged with Long. 89' SUBSTITUTION LEEDS - Leeds make another change as Ayling is the man to make way for Struijk. 89' Gelhardt is brought down inside the box. The referee is not convinced about awarding a penalty. The VAR has a look and they agree, there was nothing in it. 87' SUBSTITUTION SOUTHAMPTON - Adams' day is done after a hard day's work and he is replaced by the fresh legs of Tella.

They also agree there is no penalty, as replays show that Diallo connects with Raphinha first. 76' Cooper with a blasting kick from defence into attack, but there is nobody home for Leeds allowing Forster to make the easiest of saves, clearing the ball away. 74' Gelhardt with a sliding tackle on Bednarek, but he is unable to connect with the ball and it goes out of play. Gelhardt appeals for the corner kick, but it is not given. Replays show the wrong decision was made and a corner kick to Leeds should have been paid.
25' Adams pulls the trigger on goal from outside of the box, as he faces three Leeds defenders about to dive towards him. He rushes his shot on goal and it takes a deflection, going out for a corner kick. 24' Meslier with the clearing goal kick for Leeds, as they look for the fast break from the middle of the ground. 22' Leeds bring in the ball from the corner kick, as Moreno blasts it at goal from close range, but it is into the body of Forster. It goes back out to Harrison, who finds the back of the net, but there was a whistle for a foul.

45' We have one additional minute of stoppage time to play for the first half. 45' The VAR is checking a potential handball appeal against Llorente inside the box. The decision comes back as all clear, with no penalty to be awarded to Southampton. 43' Forster with a huge kick back into play, with Bednarek in the right place inside the box, but he has his hands all over Llorente, with the referee awarding the free kick to Leeds inside defensive half. 41' Adams is getting involved once again, as he runs it along the sideline, but clever body play by Dallas, as he gets rid of him and takes possession of the ball, to send it into attack. 39' Walker-Peters runs into the edge of the box, spotting his chance to have a shot on goal, as he chips it for goal but he blasts it over the crossbar. 37' There are good signs from Southampton, who have responded with a more attacking mindset, after a rather stale first 30 minutes inside their attacking half.
86' The Leeds defence are looking to slow down the pace of the game, as they attempt to play the game on their terms. Time may be a factor they are up against, so they need to get a move on. 84' Armstrong with the cross into the box for Livramento, as he shot from the right side of the box is high and wide, going away to the right. A golden opportunity for Southampton, but they are unable to capatalise.
35' Romeu feeds it towards Adams with a chance from inside of the box, as he keeps it low forcing Meslier to push it away. It is chipped away by Dallas, taking the hit but it is cleared to safety from Llorente. 33' Rodrigo feeds it through towards Raphino on the wing, but Salisu is in the better position and is able to eliminate the clear and present danger for Southampton. 31' The way the game has been played, you could see the Leeds goal coming from a mile away. Southampton will need to work their way back into the game trailing from behind 29' GOAL LEEDS Leeds 1 Southampton 0 - Raphinha manages to keep the ball in play as he lifts it into the middle of the box, with the ball taking a deflection off Forster, but onto the boot of Harrison, who taps it into the bottom right corner of the net to score a goal. The VAR check the goal and give it the green light. 27' Broja is at the back of the post as the ball is delivered to his direction, but a very important touch by Llorente, was enough to take the sting out of the Southampton attacking play.
